The Ambassador to start leasing in May

Leasing will begin soon at The Ambassador, family housing in Emeryvill that will open in October 2013. Information and application materials will be available on the website soon. 

Thanks to California College of the Arts, we have a short video about the ENGAGE program mural project, with interviews featuring residents of The Harrison Hotel (view video). The murals are on view along fencing at 12th and Jefferson in downtown Oakland.

Oxford Plaza's Book Fair

More than 350 books for readers of all ages and interests were available to Oxford Plaza families and Berkeley community members at the first Oxford Plaza book fair in April. Community members from all walks of life enjoyed food, decorating book bags, and tables full of free literature.

The event was hosted by RCD’s Resident Services Department with tremendous volunteer support from Oxford Plaza residents and the Berkeley community, who also donated the books. Thanks to everyone who participated to make this a celebration of literacy that we hope to continue!
